The MAS craft workshop in Teramo

Know-how

Our craftsmanship

Every MAS panel is the result of a process made of skilled hands, precision machines and rigorous checks. A journey from idea to finished product, where Italian craftsmanship meets innovation.

Eleven stages, one standard

Excellence is a process

Behind every panel there is a workshop where tradition and technology work side by side. We take you through the stages that bring our products to life, one after the other.

01

Technical office drawings

Every project starts at a drawing board. Our technical office turns the customer’s idea into precise working drawings: dimensions, carvings, wood species and finishes are defined down to the smallest detail, before the wood even enters the workshop.

Pantograph and CNC machines

The drawings take shape on our numerically controlled machines. The pantograph carves the wood with millimetre precision, faithfully following the design: geometries, mouldings and carvings that would be impossible to make by hand.

03

Sanding

Before any finish, the surface is carefully sanded. It is patient handwork that prepares the wood to take the paint and gives it the softness to the touch that sets a fine panel apart.

Painting line

In-line painting ensures uniformity and durability. The coating cycles, with non-toxic, certified paints from our partners Adler and Renner, protect the wood from the weather and bring out its natural colour.

05

Custom painting

Where a signature touch is needed, the craftsman’s hand steps in. Glazes, patinas and decorations are applied by brush, one layer at a time, to achieve unique effects that no machine can reproduce.

06

Solid wood working

This is the heart of our know-how. Solid wood is selected, seasoned and worked in the great tradition of Italian joinery: raised panels, mouldings and recessed panels carved from the solid wood, where every grain tells the life of the material. An inimitable craft culture, handed down over two generations.

Working and storage of aluminium panels
07

Aluminium panel working

Alongside wood, we work aluminium with the same care. The sheets of the Aluminium line are engraved, brushed and powder-coated to create unalterable surfaces, designed to withstand sun, rain and salt air without maintenance.

Fitting inserts and quality control on a MAS panel
08

Inserts and quality control

Corten, stainless steel, glass, leather, copper: inserts are applied by hand and checked one by one. Every panel passes a rigorous quality control before leaving the workshop — nothing is left to chance.

Fitting accessories and handles on a security door panel
09

Accessories and handles

Pull handles, coat racks, metal details: accessories are designed and fitted to blend perfectly with the panel design, completing every detail of the entrance.
